What is Transformative Breathwork really about?

When was the last time you fully expressed your emotions – screamed when you wanted to let something out, cried when you felt like it, or laughed out loud from your belly – without wondering whether you were being too much, too loud, too emotional, or taking up too much space?

The anger we smile away, the fear we suppress, or the stress we swipe past on social media doesn’t just disappear – it stays in the body as tension and blockages. Your body – more specifically, your autonomic nervous system – doesn’t differentiate between real danger (like running from a wild animal) and modern stressors (like a difficult email). Your body goes into high alert, ready for fight or flight. Only you're still sitting in your office chair, and the energy that built up in your body doesn’t get released. This can lead to a downward spiral: the activated stress energy remains in your system, more stressors are added, and the tension persists. Your body continues to release stress hormones, and your nervous system becomes dysregulated – with possible consequences such as anxiety, chronic health issues, sleep problems, migraines, or issues with anger and aggression.

What to expect from a session

In transformative breathwork sessions, we use the technique of conscious connected breathing to give your (overthinking) mind a break and reconnect with your body. This dynamic and active breathing technique can support you in releasing built-up tension in the body, reducing stress, processing suppressed emotions, and overcoming blockages – offering you a new connection to your body and your emotions.


I work in a trauma-sensitive and nervous system-informed way. I will always respect your boundaries and only guide you as far as it feels right and safe for you. It’s not about forcing anything that isn’t there, but about giving you space and time for self-regulation. Through my 400-hour breathwork training, I know that not every breathing technique is suitable for every nervous system – therefore I offer you options that suit you and your body.
